Based in Torquay, Torbay, South Devon, BCG EPOS has been supplying Electronic Point of Sale systems to hospitality and retail businesses across the South West of England since 1975. For over 50 years, we have worked with businesses throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset, helping them move with the times as technology, customer expectations and day to day operations have changed.
BCG was originally formed in June 1975 by Barry, Chris and Gerry, who opened the company’s first office in Winner Street, Paignton. From those early beginnings, the business built its reputation by supplying dependable point of sale equipment to local businesses and providing the practical support needed to keep them running.
Charlie Isaac and Mike Stanley joined the company in 1984 and went on to play a major role in shaping BCG for many years. In 1989, the business moved to Mallock Road in Torquay as it continued to grow. In 2003, the company moved again to larger premises at St Marychurch Road, Torquay, where we remain today. In 2021, BCG entered a new chapter while remaining very much a family business, as the next generation, together with long standing members of the team, took over the company with a focus on continuing its legacy while driving it forward for the modern EPOS market.
Over 50 Years of EPOS Experience
The world of EPOS has changed significantly since BCG first began. We started selling fully electronic cash registers in 1979, before supporting the introduction of barcode scanning cash registers and flat keyboard systems throughout the 1980s. These systems became especially popular in pubs, clubs, bars and retail environments, helping businesses serve customers more efficiently and manage sales more accurately.
Today, BCG EPOS continues to evolve with the industry. The systems we now provide are modern, connected and designed to support the way hospitality and retail businesses operate now. From restaurants, bars and cafés to hotels, takeaways, clubs, leisure venues and shops, we provide EPOS solutions that help businesses manage orders, payments, stock, reporting and customer service more smoothly.
